Business Coogee, formerly known as Coogee Chamber of Commerce, is an alliance partner of Business NSW. This means the entity is run to a high level of governance and best practice. It is an association with a model constitution, led by an elected executive committee.
Business Coogee represents the best interests of business in the locality of Coogee, New South Wales. Because Coogee means business!
MISSION
What a glorious location in which to do business! The mission of Business Coogee is to support all types of businesses and business people in Coogee and surrounds, to THRIVE by providing connection, learning and support.
CONSTITUTION
Business Coogee is a not-for-profit association governed by the Associations Incorporation Act 2009 No 7. The organisation has a model constitution that is available for download by clicking HERE.
BUILDING THE FUTURE
The way we do business has been changed forever thanks to a swift move to decentralise many workplaces. Never before has Coogee and surrounding suburbs been home to so much industry! Furthermore, hundreds of sole traders call Coogee home and more than sixty retailers line the streets. Pubs and restaurants, hotels and clubs all make Coogee the place to do business.

Lucy Bloom
President and Secretary
Lucy had a career in advertising before she stepped into the not-for-profit sector as the CEO of an international aid charity funding hospitals in Ethiopia. After two more CEO roles, Lucy prefers to be unemployed and now consults in governance, is a sought-after international keynote speaker, author and CEO coach.

Arlys Olson
Treasurer
Every executive committee needs a committed treasurer and Arlys is exactly that for Business Coogee. Arlys is a bookkeeper and registered BAS agent dedicated to helping small business keep their finances on track. She hails from the United States, speaks fluent English and Xero, lives in Clovelly and likes a good savvy B.

Sam Mehta
Executive Member
Sam is a management consultant with particular interest in organisational change. His broad business experience helps leaders to prepare for and transition their organisations and ways of working. If the sun is shining, Sam prefers to be on Coogee Beach than in the boardroom and has an impressive collection of SUPs and kayaks.

Cynthia Colli
Executive Member
Cyn is a web and digital designer, writer and creative allrounder with a focus on sustainability and ethical business. She’s particularly enthusiastic about local environmental issues and came to fame when she led the charge to clean up Coogee beach after the Christmas Day in 2016 that we will never forget.
